There are not enough motorcycle related movies out there. With winter coming and my wheels seeing less and less action, I will need a motorcycle fix to get me through the winter. Pulling out the few motorcycle movies I have seems to be becoming an annual affair. With Christmas coming maybe I can add a couple to my small selection.
The movies I have seen and liked:
The Long Way Round - A fun film documenting friends Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman's ride from London to New York City.
The Worlds Fastest Indian - An inspiring great story of Burt Munro's passion for his Indian motorcycle and his quest to clock his bike on the Bonneville Salt Flats.
From Dust to Glory - Filmmaker Dana Brown takes on the Baja 1000 with an exhilarating documentary of this epic cross country race.
Motorcycle Diaries - Probably not enough motorcycle but the movie has a heart.
Not so much:
Easy Rider - I know, I know this is a classic but the movie does nothing for me. It is just to weird for my taste.
Wild Hogs - I saw this one in the theater with my cousin Ed and he thought it was really funny. I thought it was kind of silly, it seemed like a made for TV movie to me. I kept hearing people say they loved the movie so I rented it. I did laugh a bit more the second time through but not enough to say it was a good movie, maybe I should watch it one more time.
Biker Boyz - I can't even remember this one, enough said.
I am putting Long Way Down and On Any Given Sunday on my list for christmas.
What else am I missing?
